πŸ’¬ “We are more alike than different.” That was the message at the heart of our 6th Building Community Thru Conversation (BCTC) eventβ€”an invitation extended to both Jewish and non-Jewish guests, encouraging meaningful dialogue and connection.

With this gathering, we introduced β€˜Let’s Discuss’, a new structured series designed to help us listen πŸ‘‚, talk πŸ—£οΈ, and pause ⏸️—to step away from the daily rush and take the time to truly engage with one another. We live in the same neighborhoods, yet how often do we stop to really get to know one another? Despite our differences, we share so many of the same struggles, challenges, hopes, and dreams.

A Conversation Rooted in Experience & Growth

Our interfaith women’s discussion was both deeply personal and widely relevant. As women navigating the present πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦, who grew up in a different world, and as mothers shaping the next generation πŸ‘Ά, we explored the complexities of identity, belonging, and the evolving world around us.

🌍 Global & Political Struggles – How disasters, wars, and political tensions shape our perspectives and experiences.
πŸ›οΈ Faith & Connection – The role of religion, particularly Judaism, in our sense of self and community.
πŸŽ“ Raising Children in a Changing World – Navigating shifting values, cultural evolution, and the growing influence of media πŸ“±.

Shared Strength, Support & Understanding

Jewish women left feeling empowered πŸ’ͺ, while non-Jewish women gained insight πŸ’‘ and showed their supportβ€”emphasizing our shared humanity and collective desire for peace πŸ•ŠοΈ and coexistence ✨.

Unlike many of our events, we chose not to take a group photo πŸ“Έ this time. Instead, we focused on the environment we created πŸŒΏβ€”a space where people could speak openly, connect authentically, and walk away with a deeper understanding of one another.

Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep listening. Let’s keep building communityβ€”together. β€οΈπŸ’™
