Between Conversations, We’re Still Here

Part 7

Okay, I Learned Something. Now What?

You came to a conversation. You read something. You listened. You asked questions. Maybe you even changed your mind about something.

Now What?

Learning matters. Listening matters. Understanding someone else’s story matters.

But sometimes the next question is: What can I actually do with what I learned?

It Doesn’t Have To Be Something Big.

You don’t need to become an expert, lead an organization or have the perfect words. Sometimes the next step is simply having one better conversation, sharing one useful resource, volunteering your time or inviting someone else into the room.

At BCTC, we believe change often begins in smaller ways than we expect. And there are many ways to take the next step.

What Could That Look Like?

Have the conversation. Ask a question instead of assuming you already know the answer. Explore our conversation materials when you need somewhere to begin.

Keep learning. Explore our BCTC Resources for materials, recommendations and places to keep exploring.

Share what helped you. Send someone a story, article, video or resource that gave you useful context. You can also browse the BCTC Blog and share something that made you think.

Join a conversation. Come sit with people you may not otherwise meet, listen to their stories and bring your own questions into the room. Explore BCTC events .

Host a conversation. Bring BCTC to your home, organization, school, faith community or other community space. Request a conversation .

Bring someone with you. Invite the friend, neighbor, colleague or family member you have wanted to talk with — especially someone who may see things differently.

Speak up. When you hear a stereotype, misinformation or dehumanizing language, don’t assume someone else will challenge it. Explore our resources for information and tools that can help.

Volunteer with BCTC. Your time and skills can help us reach more people, support events, create and share materials, make connections and keep the work moving. Explore volunteer opportunities .

Partner with us. If you are part of an organization, school, faith community, nonprofit or other group, explore ways we can work together. Learn about BCTC partnerships .

Support the work. Help us create more conversations, develop resources and reach more communities by making a donation .

You Don’t Have To Do Everything. Do Something.

One of the easiest things to underestimate is the effect of a conversation that continues beyond the room.

Someone talks to a friend. A parent brings something home to a child. A teacher shares a resource. Someone volunteers. Someone speaks up when they might have stayed quiet before. Another person decides to invite people together.

That’s How The Conversation Travels.

Not because everyone leaves agreeing, but because something they heard stays with them — and changes what they ask, share, notice or do next.

Choose Your Next Step.

Join us in whatever way makes sense for you. Come to a conversation, bring one to your community, explore our resources, volunteer your time or skills, partner with us, or help make more of this work possible.

Help Us Keep The Conversations Going.

Your support helps BCTC bring conversations to more communities, create and share educational materials, and continue building spaces where people can meet, listen and learn from one another.

Support BCTC

You don’t have to agree with everyone to engage with them.

You don’t have to know everything before you ask a question. And you don’t have to solve an issue before deciding to be part of a better conversation around it.

Start where you are. Join us, bring a conversation to your community, keep learning, volunteer with BCTC, partner with us, or help support the work.

The conversation doesn’t have to end when we leave the room.

What Happens Next Is Up To All Of Us.

Between Conversations, We’re Still Here Keep Learning. Keep Asking. Keep Talking. Keep Showing Up.
